Ahh late August in Orono, Maine. Those of us who make our homes here can feel it when the students return to the University of Maine. There is a collective rising of energy levels, hormones, and, well, beer sales. Our peaceful summer has ended and we can no longer simply walk in to Margaritas or Pat's Pizza without first considering the wait. We love our college students, believe me - we just hate the noise and the traffic!
WELCOME to my new Blog! I really have two simple purposes with this new venture. First, I want to share with the world as much as I can about why it's great to live in Orono, Maine; our neighbors, our nooks and crannies and our community as a whole. There is more to this little town than the University - really, there is! And second, because I am what I call, a "Community-based Photographer," in addition to everything else I am in life, I will punctuate this blog with lots of photos that I know you will enjoy.
